By Pastor Anthony S Thomsen, IdahoPastor@gmail.com

The Salmon Seventh-day Adventist Church is part of a world-wide organization with more than 15 million members in countries around the world.  We would be happy to have you join us in worship or at one of the church events listed on our calendar.

About Seventh-day Adventists

Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons--the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. More >>

What Seventh-day Adventists Believe
Our Beliefs; Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs,( Five pillars of our Faith), to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures.  We consider truth to be progressive and revealed throughout the scriptures.  We trust the Bible is God's voice, speaking His love personally to you today, so that all would belong to His family..

1-Salvation; John 3:16 Testifies about Gods magnificent love, in sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to take upon himself the punishment for all sin.  That all who would trust their lives to him, by faith, will inherit eternal life.  Salvation is a free gift offered to all men. The Bible describes Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit as each being committed to our growth as Christians and to our salvation as their children.  We believe that re-birth by the Spirit of God is necessary to become a Child of the Father.  God cleans away all our sins and replaces them with His goodness. We don't have to be "good" for Him to accept us. Nevertheless, we must accept His promise and allow Him to cleans us from doing wrong to living right. Then we begin to experience the transforming power of His love.

2-Sanctuary;  Seventh-Day Adventists believe there is a Sanctuary in Heaven where God resides.  Here, Jesus acts on our behalf as our High Priest, Judge of the  world, and  forgives sins while making intercession for mankind.  Hebrews 8,9,10

3-Sabbath: The seventh day (Saturday) is an extra-special part of the relationship with God. The Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, describes the seventh day as the one day God has set aside for focused fellowship with His people. God has named that day "Sabbath" and asked us to spend it with Him. "Remember the Sabbath day," He says, "to keep it holy." Exodus 20:8-11.  The Sabbath is a whole day to deepen our friendship with the Creator of the universe! A day when we're together, Jesus with us and us with Jesus.

4-State of the Dead; The wages of sin is death. But God, who alone is immortal, will grant eternal life to His redeemed. Until that day death is an unconscious state for all people. When Christ, who is our life, appears, the resurrected righteous and the living righteous will be glorified and caught up to meet their Lord. The second resurrection, the resurrection of the unrighteous, will take place a thousand years later. (Rom. 6:23; 1 Tim. 6:15, 16; Eccl. 9:5, 6; Ps. 146:3, 4; John 11:11-14; Col. 3:4; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 1 Thess. 4:13-17; John 5:28, 29; Rev. 20:1-10.)

5-Second Coming; There's another great truth about friendship with God. It doesn't end in a cemetery; for God is planning a homecoming better than anything we can dream. A homecoming filled with angels, trumpets, Jesus, and resurrections! He's promised to bring His followers, those who have accepted the offer of His life-changing love, from this earth to His home, a place He calls heaven. A place where our friendship can go on growing forever, endlessly, joyfully!

Our Mission

To proclaim in word and deed to everyone the good news of God’s love.

Our Vision

By serving both God and man, we desire all would accept Jesus as their personal Savior, unite with Him and His Church family; while nurturing one another in preparation for His soon return.
